Connie Swanson is one of the co-founders of Alaven Pharmaceutical LLC, formed in 2003, and Alaven Consumer Healthcare, Inc. formed in 2008. She became the organization’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer in 2010 after serving as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Connie was previously Senior Director of Marketing (1999-2001) and National Sales Trainer (1996-1999) at First Horizon Pharmaceutical Corporation. Connie was responsible for hiring, training, deploying and successfully leading a significant majority of the First Horizon sales force and sales management during several sales force expansions prior to 2001. In addition, as head of Marketing, Connie launched several of First Horizon’s key brands including Ponstel® (Women’s Health), Zebutal® (Tension Headache), Nitrolingual Pumpspray® (Cardiology), Robinul® (Gastroenterology) and Tanafed® (Pediatric) while leading a team of product managers. Connie was also instrumental in the selection and acquisition of three of First Horizon’s key products, Robinul®, Ponstel® and Nitrolingual® Pumpspray. She was the Company’s top producing sales representative and district manager during its formative years (1993-1995). Connie earned a B.S. in Chemistry from North Georgia College and State University and worked as a pharmacy technician while obtaining her degree.

Virinder Nohria is a board-certified neurologist with special qualifications in child neurology. He also holds a Ph.D. degree in Neuropharmacology. He was involved in the operations of Alaven Pharmaceutical LLC since inception and joined the organization full time in 2008 as Chief Medical Officer. He also became Executive Vice President in 2010. He was previously the Chief Medical Officer of Xcel Pharmaceutical (2004-2005) and Chief Medical Officer of DevCo Pharmaceutical (1999-2003). He was a Senior Research Physician for UCB Pharma and Global Physician, Neurology Division, for Eli Lilly and Company. Dr. Nohria was involved in the development and approval of Keppra® and Permax®. He was also part of the team that was responsible for the development and approval of Zyprexa®. Dr Nohria has eight years of clinical practice in the area of pediatric neurology in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Dr. Nohria was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at University of Virginia and was an adjunct faculty member of Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He is currently an adjunct Clinical Professor at Mercer University in Atlanta. He earned his medical degree at Cambridge University and his Ph.D. at Leeds University.

Jeffrey Cohen joined Alaven Consumer Healthcare, Inc. in 2010 as Vice President and General Manager. Jeff was previously the General Manager for CIBA VISION specialty contact lenses. Jeff previously held responsibility for the global color contacts business and was VP Marketing for the North America Region. Jeff was responsible for FDA Class II and Class III Medical devices including marketing Focus Night & Day continuous wear contact lenses, launching O2OPTIX “breathable contact lenses” and global leadership of ophthalmic solutions including AOSept and ClearCare Hydrogen Peroxide disinfectants and SOLO Care and AQuify MultiPurpose Solutions. Jeff helped secure regulatory approvals for Freshlook One Day Color Contact lenses including 510K registration in the US and CE mark approval in EU. Jeff’s career spans consumer packaged goods (Johnson & Johnson, Nabisco), durable goods (General Motors, Whirlpool) and healthcare (CIBA VISION). Jeff earned his MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Rochester. Jeff is a member of the Georgia State University Marketing Roundtable and the Kennesaw State University Center for Corporate Governance Advisory Board.
